Requested Film Shows
It should also be mentioned that on the 1st. February, the show for the Probus group, mentioned on the front page, took place at 10 AM at Greenmount. The programme we had put together included Big Steam on the ELR and Last Freight to Tottington, which was received with much appreciation.
On the evening of 8th February, we gave a show for Bury Photographic Society . right, - two of our members, Roy and Stuart, are also BPS members - and for which the programme was a repeat of the Met show we gave last year. Apart from a slight problem with the sound system and a disc which contained An Icon Restored, the show went well and was warmly received. The next day, so as not to have a recurrence of the sound issue, I purchased a sound bar for use during future public shows.
And on the 12th February, we gave yet another show, this time for the Greenmount Ladies group, which marks our third visit to that venue. A selection of films from our archive was put on and it went down very well with our audience, as you can see from the picture below.
