Peter brought us an interesting collection of films this evening, beginning with a very nice study of the East Lancashire Railway, to which he had added some very nice effects with the Capcut editing software he uses.
He followed this with some wildlife scenes shot at Daisy Nook - complete with some amusing speech balloons that put words into mouths (and beaks) of the squirrels and birds that took part in the film!
Now, Peter’s two sons , Matthew and Simon are sergeants in the Grenadier and Irish Guards respectively and in addition are musicians in their respective regimental bands. They had recently taken part in a ceremony known as The Colonel’s Review and Peter had gone down to London to film the impressive occasion. The lads are pictured here in their splendid uniforms, with Matthew on the left and Simon (with trumpet) on the right.
Peter finished off his show with a documentary about that legendary Bolton character, Fred Dibnah, builder of steam traction engines & demolisher of factory chimneys. An entertaining show!
